Wacktistic Statistic Wednesday!

Elijah Dukes, when he is playing, is walking at an amazing rate of once every 5.8 at-bats this season! For perspective, that's nearly identical to Jason Giambi's rate of once every 5.7 at-bats, and good for 15th best in all of MLB, of players with 150 ABs or more. That's a better rate than superstars David Ortiz, Carlos Beltran, Mark Teixiera, Lance Berkman, Alex Rodriguez, David Wright, Gary Sheffield, Prince Fielder to name just a few--or even well-known walkers Nick Swisher, Kevin Youkilis, or Lyle Overbay! And this isn't even counting any of the walks Dukes has collected on charges the courtroom!!!

Willie Harris and Ronnie Belliard should also be noted for very high walk rates this season but they haven't really played enough to warrant any sort of commendation, and especially as they hit under .230 at the plate. Also, it should be noted that Dukes is striking out at an extremely alarming rate.
